Community Involvement & Personal Profile
Since 2012 I have served as a board member of the Vest Pocket Business Coalition which works hard to serve local, independent businesses in Utah through advocacy, education, and social connections.
While Utah is my home now, I grew up in South Dakota and have also lived in Nebraska, Colorado, Washington, and Germany. Since 2015 I have helped to coach girls softball in the West Valley Fast Pitch league. I enjoy all the wonderful outdoor recreational activities Utah offers, following Minnesota Twins baseball and University of Nebraska Cornhuskers football, and listening to my vinyl LP collection. Jon Parry, Attorney & Certified Exit Planner
Welcome to my firm website! I am a business and estate planning attorney with 20 years of experience serving business owners, professionals, and families. My early career was varied, including workers compensation and aviation accident litigation work in Seattle, WA. After I moved to Salt Lake City in 2004, I began serving business clients in intellectual property and other business litigation cases. Since 2009, I have focused my practice on business law and estate planning, and I combine the two areas in my business transition planning work. My work focuses on helping clients expand and protect business assets, incentivize and reward their employees, and plan their estates. In 2012, in furtherance of my commitment to serve business owners and professionals in guiding them through the ownership transition process, I earned certification as a business exit planner (CExP).
